Why is it easier to wake up early in the countryside?

With no alarm, I woke up at 6 am and took a little jaunt down the road before breakfast. So early that flowers were still displaying their dew drops.

Later, we went out for a proper hike.  This little walkway looks so inviting, doesn’t it?  Unbelievably, I got stuck trying to turn back around and stood petrified while my aunt laughed hysterically.  She told me that the locals can cross it even on their bicycles. Gyeongju National Park.  The famous Bulguksa temple is on the same mountain, but I didn’t go in this time.  One of our hiking snacks was this odoriferous cup of 번데기, or silkworm pupa.  I only had one to placate the elder.

About

Blogging from my little corner of Seoul, Korea, where I'll be until next fall as a Fulbrighter. My stated research project concerns the experiences of young North Korean defectors in South Korea, but my personal goal is to eat my way through every type of street food. Also, I'd like to personally meet a couple that match-dresses. Say hi! ---Lilian lilee27 -- gmail
